Giving the gift of Community

At Amen Ministries Inc., we believe that every man was born with a purpose. We also believe that no matter what mistakes are made in life, it is never too late to achieve that purpose. If any man wants help, it is the duty of this organization to rejuvenate and restore him to reconnect with his purpose. Despite the opinions of many, every man deserves another chance.

Amen Ministries Inc. is focused on inspiring hope, motivating for success and exposing all under its influence to strive for an “A” in every area of their life so that they may influence all “Men” to do the same. “Amen.” If mistakes are made we examine, learn from it and support changing the behavior so that we can become better men. It is important to always improve ourselves because learning from our mistakes can help us teach our children not to make the same mistakes of their fathers.

According to the National Principals Association Report, Justice & Behavior, Center for Disease & Control and U.S. Dept of Health Census, 90% of all homeless & runaway children are from Fatherless homes. 85% of all children who show behavioral disorders come from fatherless homes. 80% of rapists with anger management issues come from fatherless homes. 71% of all High School dropouts come from fatherless homes and 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes. In short, children with issues grow into adults with issues. Adults with issues produce children that may inherit their father’s problems. The cycle can be alarming, but Amen Ministries is about breaking those cycles.

What does one do in an environment that lacks a strong male presence among families? If you look in positive places like church and schools, you will find a lack of strong male presence. However, when examining less positive places such as prisons, drug rehabilitation centers, shelters, and street corners, there is a heavy male population.

If a man makes a bad decision, does that mean we are to give up and turn our backs on him? Or should we try to rebuild and most importantly restore him? Everyone matters.

For this very cause, Amen Ministries Inc. was birthed. We are here to support and develop men. As we strive to be Amen we will see that there is no other way to live our lives. At  the end of the day our true purpose as men is to be “Amen.”
